Excitement and action at the 2nd ADAC MX Masters in Dreetz

In brilliant sunshine and midsummer temperatures, the second ADAC MX Masters event in Dreetz, just a short drive from Berlin, was a thrilling experience. The riders had to prove themselves on a challenging 1750-meter-long deep sand track that made even the most experienced pros break out in a sweat.

Jayson van Drunen showed his skills in the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125. The Dutchman demonstrated his strength in qualifying and secured a strong seventh place. In the first race on Sunday, van Drunen proved his endurance and fought his way up from 34th to fifth place after a difficult start. A remarkable result! Unfortunately, he was involved in a crash at the start of the second race, but made a respectable comeback and finished in 15th place. Overall, he ended up in seventh place for the weekend, proving his talent in the sand.

Paul Haberland, who competes in the ADAC MX Masters class, also put in a solid performance. He made a strong start to the weekend with a great ninth place in Group B qualifying. Despite a less than ideal start, he was able to work his way up to 17th place in the first race on Saturday. On Sunday, he started twice in the top 10 like his teammate Polak, but made small mistakes that cost him a few places. With a strong P13 in the second race and P34 in the third race, the young Thuringian finished 18th overall.

Petr Polak also fought his way up through the field. As a participant in the strongest qualifying group, the Czech secured his direct entry into the finals with a 16th place. Despite a slow start in the first race on Saturday with P17 at the end of the 30-minute race, he achieved two top 10 starts in the two races on Sunday, which resulted in P11 and P13, finishing the weekend in 15th place.

Dutch pilot Mike Bolink had to deal with bad starts, but nevertheless proved his speed and persistence. Although he struggled at the start and had to wrangle in the super-tight starting bend, he finished 26th, 25th and 25th in the classification heats and 27th overall. His potential is obvious, and with better starts he is also able to finish in the top 15.

After this exciting weekend, the Riders and the team now have a few weeks to rest up before the Team take a Race of the Swiss championship at the 20.05.2024 in Muri. After this the third round of the ADAC MX Masters will then be staged in Vellahn.
