What a weekend! For us as a German team, the world championship round in the legendary Teutschenthal valley was a real highlight. On the 1,550 meter long hardpack track, which had been slightly modified compared to previous years, things got really busy! We had two riders at the start: Emil Weckman in the MXGP class and Dawid Zaremba in the EMX125. It was an intensive and instructive weekend for both of them.
Emil Weckman – MXGP
For Emil, the weekend began with qualifying, but unlike the ADAC races, the aim here was to secure a starting position for the qualifying race. With 33rd place, the starting position was difficult, but Emil showed a strong reaction at the starting gate in the qualifying race. However, it is not easy to make up places on the famous start straight in Teutschenthal, especially from the outside. Nevertheless, Emil rode a solid race and was able to improve by two positions to 31st place for the main races.
Emil got off to a good start in the first race on Sunday, constantly working his way forward and finding his usual rhythm towards the middle of the race. In the end, he was rewarded with 30th place. A good result for the 450 rookie on this demanding track in the middle of the world’s best motocross riders.
Then came the second race and the heavens opened their floodgates. It rained heavily and the valley basin turned into a real mud fight. But Emil remained calm, got off to a good start and was not rattled by a pit stop to change his goggles. He got back into the flow and fought his way to a strong 26th place. Chapeau in these conditions and considering that it was Emil’s first world championship race on the big bike.

Dawid Zaremba – EMX125
Dawid competed in the EMX125, which had such a strong field that qualifying was split into two groups. With a fast last lap, he made it to 18th place in his group and thus into the qualifying heats!
In the first race on Saturday, Dawid made his usual strong start, but had to make up a lot of time after a crash and a few small mistakes. Nevertheless, he didn’t give up and fought his way back to 28th place, showing the real sporting spirit we are used to seeing from him.
Unfortunately, Sunday didn’t mean well for him. He was hit twice in the second race. Two crashes threw him off his rhythm. Even though he remained uninjured, his disappointment at 34th place was clear to see understandable after such a race.

Despite the capricious weather and tough competition, the weekend was one thing above all for us: valuable. A world championship race in your own country, in front of a home crowd – that’s not an everyday occurrence. It was great training for Emil and Dawid and good preparation for the next ADAC race in Dreetz.
There was also the personal part: we had many great encounters with our sponsors and supporters, for whom we can only be grateful. None of this would be possible without you. Thank you for your support, your belief in us and for being part of our team.
We are taking many experiences with us and are already looking forward to the next race!
