Strong performances, deep sand, and extreme heat.

Last weekend, the riders of SHR Motorsports by Hartje Team traveled to the ADAC MX Masters in the deep sand of Dreetz. The track was already demanding, but with summer temperatures soaring, the third round of the championship turned into a real heat battle.
Unfortunately, for Mike Stender, the weekend ended early. Due to health reasons, it was decided after the free practice not to start in the races. Health comes first. We wish him a speedy recovery.
Emil Weckman struggled to find his rhythm in the highly competitive Qualifying Group B on Saturday, finishing in 9th place, which meant starting from 17th position—a challenging starting point. However, in the first race, Emil immediately showed that he was to be reckoned with. He came out of the gate with a perfect reaction, just missing the holeshot, and was even in 4th place during the first few laps. Mid-race, he was strongly fighting in 5th position before a small slip cost him a few places. In the end, he finished a very respectable eighth place—a race that definitely left him craving more.

Dawid only participated in the time training on Saturday, where he achieved a respectable 12th place. The technically demanding track pushed everyone to their limits—so he was very satisfied with his performance.
On Sunday, the real highlight followed. With a lightning-fast reaction at the start, Dawid narrowly missed the holeshot and was in 2nd place during the initial laps. In close and tough duels, he had to give up a few positions and temporarily dropped back to 8th. But he didn’t give up, fought his way back strongly, and crossed the finish line in 6th place, visibly relieved and happy.
In the second race, he again launched perfectly off the gate and was immediately back in the top 3. Despite the heat and minor health issues, Dawid pushed through, finishing again in 6th place, which also earned him a strong 6th place in the overall standings for the day. In the championship, he moved up to 8th place. Great performance.

Emil also made an impressive comeback on Sunday. Although slightly under the weather, there was no sign of holding back. In both races, he shot into the top 5 right from the start, sometimes even ahead of multiple world champion Jeffrey Herlings. With a lot of effort, cleverness, and fighting spirit, Emil secured 5th place in both heats. Two very strong rides in extreme heat. This earned him 7th place in the overall day classification, and in the championship, he now moves up to 6th place.

The deep sand of Dreetz challenged both man and machine significantly. Despite health setbacks and extreme heat, Emil and Dawid delivered excellent performances and collected important points. Now it’s time to catch a breath before heading to the hard ground of Bielstein in mid-July.
